Streaming income instead of waiting for payday.
Cadence explores a new payroll primitive: earned compensation that can move continuously rather than being held until a fixed pay date. The product is designed for individuals, freelancers, startups, and small businesses that want more flexible access to earned money without treating payroll as a collection of disconnected transactions.
The problem
Traditional payroll batches value even though labor is continuous. That gap creates cash-flow friction for workers and limits how programmable compensation can become for modern businesses.
The hypothesis
If income can be represented as a continuously accruing stream, payroll can become infrastructure: visible in real time, programmable, composable with bills and savings, and eventually usable by software agents.
What I owned
- Product strategy and user experience for self-service payroll streaming.
- Technical architecture around XRPL-based payment infrastructure and stablecoin settlement concepts.
- Onboarding, wallet/payment flows, demos, messaging, investor positioning, and ecosystem outreach.
- Integration thinking around automated bill routing and future agentic/x402-style spending.
Product thinking
The most important design decision was to avoid presenting Cadence as “crypto payroll.” The user-facing value is timing, control, and programmability. Blockchain infrastructure is useful only insofar as it enables a faster, more composable financial experience.
What this demonstrates
Cadence is a full-stack product exercise: market framing, systems design, fintech UX, blockchain infrastructure, founder-led customer discovery, live demos, partner conversations, and fundraising narrative all moving together.
